Students will discover the amazing diversity and complexity of the ocean’s most advanced creatures. This program offers a comprehensive examination of marine mammal taxonomy, comparative anatomy, social behavior, and associated conservation issues. Students will have the opportunity to observe marine mammal behavior first-hand. The evening will conclude with the students spending the night at Manatee Rescue, with a pod of dolphins at Dolphin Cove, or with the Belugas at the Wild Arctic facility.
- Visit Wild Arctic, Dolphin Nursery, Pacific Point, North Support and Manatee Rescue
- Introduce students to taxonomy and classification
- Observe animals up-close for comparative anatomy of mammals
- Sleep in one of our marine mammal exhibit areas (Dolphin Cove, Wild Arctic or Manatee Rescue)
