PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
What does it take to become a SeaWorld Trainer? How do you train an 800-pound California sea lion or an 8,000-pound killer whale? Students will learn the answers to these questions and more as they observe an actual training session at one of the animal stadiums. Specific topics addressed include the educational and physical requirements for being a SeaWorld animal trainer and the methods used to train animals for shows and veterinary care sessions. The presentation facilitates further classroom examination of careers, behavioral sciences, animal husbandry and other related fields. Your reservation for the Animal Behavior and Husbandry show also includes the Self-Guided materials detailed below, allowing you to enjoy all that SeaWorld has to offer.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
When you select our Ocean Discovery program, you'll benefit from our exclusive curriculum filled with support materials to help your students derive superior educational value from their SeaWorld field trip. Full of pre- and post- visit activities, it allows teachers to create a customized lesson plan to suit your needs. This special park guide will help your students investigate the real world of marine biology. Students can work independently on several activities that will challenge their knowledge and skill and gain a greater appreciation for marine science and will discover if they have the dedication and commitment to be a marine biologist. Our SeaWorld staff will take your group behind-the-scenes to discuss how animals are cared for through SeaWorld's unique program for manatees and sea turtles. Learn about our efforts to help preserve and protect endangered and threatened species through our rescue, rehabilitation and release program and what you can do to help.

Students will learn about the variety of careers available in the animal care field and how marine animal experts care for manatees, sea turtles and more during your visit to SeaWorld's behind-the-scenes animal rehabilitation facility and laboratory areas. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Join one of our professional SeaWorld Instructors for an extended look into our world. Your students will investigate the challenges faced by dolphins, manatees and sea turtles as they encounter these animals up close and in person. This program allows students a behind-the-scenes and hands-on look at SeaWorld's efforts to preserve and protect many of the species with which we share our planet. In addition to visiting support areas, your students will also encounter a variety of animals at our exhibits and shows as your SeaWorld instructor shares our world with you.
